Each of our rooms at Tides Reach Guest House has been individually designed to reflect a calm and relaxing feel. Elegant furnishings combined with fresh pastel colours ensure a sense of serenity and relaxation is achieved. Of course, all our rooms are very well-equipped in order to provide maximum convenience to our guests with all the amenities you would expect in a home away from home.
The House
Tides Reach is an elegant, comfortable and spacious house facing the sea and overlooking the promenade, with uninterrupted views to Mumbles lighthouse and Swansea Bay. We provide the ideal base from which to explore Mumbles, the Gower, the city of Swansea and the surrounding areas of South Wales.
Built in 1855, Tides Reach is a handsome, elegantly furnished and appointed guest house, offering bed and breakfast on the site of a previous Victorian bath house, providing the highest standards in comfort and service, whilst also providing an informal, friendly place to relax and savour the views.
Your Stay
Car parking is provided at the kind accommodation of the Norton House Hotel 150 yards behind us and there is also free parking when available on Norton Road and Norton Avenue. We are happy to provide storage for cycles and water sports gear. There is easy access to public transport from Tides Reach as a bus stop is 30 yards away.
Tides Reach Guest House rates consistently highly on review sites and third party sites and we would encourage you to peruse our guests’ reviews. However, we would always advise you book direct for the best prices.

Tides Reach is a well-established family run business owned by Metin & Eleanor. We had always dreamed of one day owning our own small boutique guest house and we are very proud of the reviews we are receiving. We have put our combined knowledge, experience and skills into our guest house and our aim is to provide exacting standards of customer service and cleanliness in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. We have a background in the hotel and hospitality sector, having run high-end hotels and apartments before, so we feel we are ideally placed to provide you with an exceptional holiday break at the Tides Reach Guest House. Cancellation Policy
We do not take a deposit for your booking – rooms are charged 48 hours prior to arrival. However, we do operate a 14 day cancellation policy from the arrival date. If you need to cancel your booking up to 14 days before arrival, then cancellation can be applied free of charge. In the unfortunate event that you need to cancel your booking within 14 days of arrival, full payment of the first night will be taken regardless of the reason for cancellation. For a booking of 4 nights and over, a 48 hr cancellation will apply and all of the booking cost will be taken. If you do not arrive and do not get in touch to let us know you wish to cancel then full payment will be taken. When you place a booking with us you are agreeing to adhere to our booking and cancellation policy.
